“But why then are you forever moving all over the planet in your caravan?”, asked the forest spirit. “Why the restless dance, the furtive looks at the distant horizon that I so often see in your eyes?”
“O, my spirit friend”, she replied with a laugh that seemed to echo in the deep darkness or the night, “this is my quest…to find the place where I belong. My destiny is out there…somewhere, and I have to keep on wandering across the endless expanse of sky until one day, when my toes sink into a special patch of land, and they curl up in delight, I will be able to say ‘I’m home at last’”.
