because the pure, spotless Lamb
shed His blood-gave His life
to wash you clean
He heard your voice
saw your dry, cracked lips
saw your tear-stained face

fighting against the harsh rays of sun
begging for water

because the One, your Creator
has not forsaken you
your name is written in His hands
He has not forgotten you

because a love so great
