People so often say,`I know!`
But do they really?
They know exactly where to go
Their way`s marked clearly.
They want to do just this or that
Sometimes pay dearly;
Then someone says with a hearty pat
I told you so, frankly
You should have done it so and so
You were that close – partly
Another time, much wiser – oh…..
Life`s treated you fairly!
At times like these take good heed
Of the extra wise and witty;
You know better what you need,
Least of all pity!
Mistakes and all you`ve come this far
Your load you carry –
So battle along, you are a star,
Why do you worry?
You really deserve a medal, friend,
Or are you sorry
For handling things the way you can,
You are there – nearly.
Then go ahead, at your own pace,
No need to hurry!
Though it all seems to be a race,
Life does not tarry!
