you holding me ever so close
i saw energy spark between two beings
your radiance comforted me
and i somehow knew

a lifetime to come
a lifetime filled
with only me and you
and the whole wide world
our grassy playground.

so completely
unconditionally -
the shy turn of your head
the curve of your lips
the movement of your hands
and every word you speak
i could love.
when I saw you lying next to me
awakened by my bare touch
at the break of my new dawn
the break of day on your lips
i somehow just knew
that I have already loved you
