im not writing you a fancy poem
it doesn’t even rhyme
has no capitals
or punctuation for that matter
but this is for you
my gift of pure devoted love
without you I am a sad song
a melancholic blue tune
without the pretty words
to fill up this empty lines in my heart
i am seasons that never change
winter without the promise of spring
summer without the autumn chill
a dark galaxy without the stars
tiny sparkles that dance in your eyes
the setting sun waiting on the moon to rise
like the fading moon in the morning
if the sun decides to sleep
without you I am like the sea
when the waves have all calmed down
no clouds mirrored across the waters
and the eagles no longer roam the skies
without you I am a poem
without rhyme
capitals
or punctuation
words put together
without the passion
without the feeling
you piece me together
you add lyrics to my song
colour to my dreams
composition to my words
and love to my life
you add meaning to living
and whenever im not with you
its simply just an unusual state of affairs.
