As you go on your path forward today,
unshed tears are blurring my way.
I thought I would have lots to say,
but for now I can only just pray.
A great friend to me you are indeed,
stood by me in times of dire need.
May your path forward, the Lord keep,
as you thrive on a faith-seed.
I’ll still be there for you to take a stand,
please don’t ever let go of my hand.
You are surrounded by love so grand,
no human mind will ever that understand.
Even if you find yourself in valleys so low,
remember my love for you somehow.
May you in your future path only grow,
and on such path I will always only flowers sow.
When you are walking tall on mountains high,
and have reached your goal with a satisfied sigh.
Remember this friend in place and time nigh,
this will never be our last good-bye.
So my good wishes, dear friend, for you would be,
that you would the worth in yourselves do see,
that you would be the best you could ever be,
and that you would always remember a friend like me.
With a truthful heart this is what I wanted say,
as I bid you good-bye on your last working day.
Take every opportunity that comes your way,
as you turn and wave to me today.
