Imagine the pop star on a brightly lit stage,
see behind her the gentle dark mountain
the music is loud
it rocks and echoes
into and over the high peaks
on this balmy night
Then, quite apart from it all,
apart from the music, the crowd
the high stars,
a thin silver lining appears
to state the place of the mountain
in things
in things.
It stretches all along the secret, dark old edges
the moon grows from behind
slowly, deliberately
unaware of the thousands of
transfixed eyes
following its journey
to end the day.
Magestically, higher
igniting the blackness
like every other night.
As it gently settles
to guard the land
and her people,
the music stops
the song is sung;
