I woke up to live another day
not that it means anything, anyway
So many ways I’m already gone
even though my body still breaths on
Behind my smile and my shining eyes
I still think about all the stories, all the lies
there’s a pain that runs so devastating ,so deep
So many secrets mine alone to keep
Although that was in the past and this is now
the memories keep on following me somehow
Seeping into and poisoning my very soul
empty, fragmented and no longer whole
The dreams that once were a reason to go on
silently have vanished and now they are gone
A void filled with nothing is all that is left
exept for a feeling of emptiness and bereft
The melody of joy is replaced by despair
no more feeling and no sensible prayer
I’ll keep on following the long and lonely path
and forget about the myth of true, long-lasting love
