Soaring the skies through life’s flight
concerned about an eternity plight
a journey that started in my youth
ensuring that take-off was smooth
the flight plan already mapped out
taxing off the runway heart pounding
shakily a new adventure so astounding
ascending slowly reaching highest altitude
system technicalities we could never elude
taking all precautionary measures known
eagle one: system control are we on course
roger that, eagle one, go ahead full force
through stormy weather, bumpy air bubbles
we fly maintaining control without any troubles
keeping in touch with appropriate radio calls
timely we need to make an emergency landing
mechanical problems, concentration so demanding
system control, eagle one needs your assistance
life’s fuel running very low, hardly any resistance
roger that, runway prepared, drop landing gear
roger that...are you there...eagle one, do you hear
landing gear already down, do not fret or frown
must control altitude, lower speed, flaps down
coming in smoothly, the runway clearly in sight
the eagle has landed, what a grandiose flight.
