I would have loved you more
if I had known that grace
would heal my marred space
that void I had in my heart
we never would have had to part
if I could have only known
how love had recently grown
how it filled and made me complete
never would have left you on the street
of loneliness, of total despair
my heart and I would’ve been there
to have, to hold and to share
the most wonderful feeling known
fullness of love I would have shown
if only I had known before
this would have happened, for sure
could’ve been the happiest day of my life
