Poverty over speech, callous over wounds,
You sit back helplessly as silence endlessly consumes.
Your heart beats silent, your voice a mere crack,
You watch as every memory slowly drifts back.
Lips threaded shut, there's nothing more you can do.
Powerless as the deathening silence bursts right through you.
Pain no longer a feeling, just another breath you breathe.
Silence keep stealing, untill lies are all you leave.
It clutches onto you with strength born out of fear,
Tightening it's grip if anyone dares to try and peer.
In ignorance they'll pass you by, all with the wrong assumption,
Till defeated you retreat, with mute as your only function.
Though morning breaks everyday, just like they assure,
But silence still awakens you, just like before...
