I lie in my bed, a new morning breaks
My eyes being opened, to another days aches
In outlying distance I hear a dog howling
It`s solitary confinement reminds me of something
Empty within I kneel at bed's side
I know with my saviour I have to abide
Hands put together I start to pray
Choking with tears that won`t stay away
I fight to be brave, my heart is empty
Unusual thoughts, my troubles many
Friends that I had by whom I've been crossed
A perfect career I seemed to have lost
A permanent frown decorates my forehead
For things I have done I truly have dreaded
Debts grow to margins of enormous proportions
All funds exhausted, forlorn declaration
A dark, bleak outlook lies in advance
My future uncertain, I do the fools dance
All hopes, all dreams lie scattered in pieces
My lust for life, it slowly decreases
