From all your Brothers, you were the chosen one
By God to succeed David, your Father as King
Your heart was the purest of them all, to be the one
Your soul belonged to God in love and obedience
Understanding God's will for you and the nation
You asked God to give you the wisdom you would need
To rule His people with justice and fairness
And to know the difference between evil and good
This was your humble prayer to the Almighty God
Your prayer request was granted by God
With your pure heart and soul
With no blood on your hands as warrior and King
You were chosen to built God’s Temple
You obeyed His will and completed the Temple
For all to come and worship God in His Temple
Many wives you had not all of them were pure of heart
Many worship idols and false gods
They then did lead you away from the living God
To serve the false gods, the idols of them
They took you away from the will of God
And from the commandments set by God
Warned by God not to continue these practices
Instead, you did ignore God and His warnings
God then punished you by dividing the Kingdom
And taking away the kingdom from all your descendants
The kingdom divided in to two for ever
Because of your sins
