Day is drawing shorter
day is drawing closer
time is so much softer now
doesn’t help to scream,
my echo only lingers longer.
For I have outgrown myself.
Yesterday has ceased to exist
and today is not yet done,
tomorrow, still only a thought.
Nothing said is nothing done,
the shift within is evident.
Cannot live from the inside out
for it will scorn my soul.
Cannot live from the outside in
for it will murder my heart.
But a dream can be real
and I want to make it mine.
