all odds were against us
you thought that I am a cheating bastard
after your girlfriend saw me with another woman
and got the wrong impression
that I was having sexual and other relations
with that person
whereupon a lie was born
consequently
upon your confronting me with you ‘evidence’
my impression of you were
that you are not a very pleasant person
on top of this
your family did not like me
but despite your mother lashing out at me
with the most disgusting swear words
she gradually began to accept me
and with every bribe that I offered her
I silenced all her criticism
but we got through it all
and only now
are we startling to reap the fruits of endurance
and has our relationship reached a new level
and we are not only in it for the physical benefits anymore
but also for the love and the friendship
