Grabbing hold of this slippery wordy eel
of creative urges
is plainly just a pain in the butt
Verbalising the aesthetic
teeth pulling and teasing
the tossing of a dice of chance
onto the roulette of inspiration
and waiting expectantly
for it to vend
pure brilliance and hooh hahs
and kind sympathy fucks
of applause and aahs
this in itself
is the serrated edge
with which to cut
one’s own throat
The butterfly of wisdom
flits erratically
lands on the tip of my nose
considers his options
and insults me
by leaving
