the mighty impact of your words
upon my heart, like singing birds
had me in a trancelike state all way
your song lingering through the day
I need you
I was disillusioned by your disguise
in love, I have never really been wise
fell like a solid rock, blaming my heart
yet, my memories kept falling apart
I need you
your lies and deceit, I’ve met with before
this time around, you made pretty sure
it won’t easily be noticed or recognized
I’ve had premonitions, all ears and eyes
I need you
if only you had known the damage done
thought this time you had your battle won
you have won something, yes, I do agree
the total destruction of my heart, you see
I need you
in need of damage control, more or less
I’m sending numerous signals of distress
tell me, how can one mend faith and trust
while inside I’m crumbling, choking in dust.
