My heart pounding
rapidly in my chest
can’t lay this anxiety
so easily to rest
so much expectation
this is no flirtation
could it be a dream...
am I caught up stream...
going in the wrong
direction
missing some ones
true affection
should I wait for you?
I have walked
the lonely mile
emptiness had me
in perfect style
wrapped around me
like a shawl
pulled me in
for an easy haul
till you came around
put my feet on
solid ground
taking me
just as I am
so afraid this
could be a scam
should I wait for you?
you sound honest
an earnest man
there are so many
others, if you can...
but, you have

is this really to be...
a future
for us three?
I pray for
blessed mercy
and whatever

what gifts life
