When nothing bothers me
in such a way that
something smothers me
and traps me in a cage where
I can
safely let go of my rage
but forget to unlock
the prison
I so skillfully made
to, after a time of not being used,
slowly fade into
my subconscious sea
and forces me
to forget about me
and be lost in
the barren desert
of my soul
and let my heart turn
as black as coal
only to go
on a journey into
my messed up past
to find
the freedom of my spirit
I accidentally left behind.
