I long for the summer
perhaps it will bring warmth
to my frozen soul
perhaps
it will melt softly
in the heat of sun
I will laze in paradise
when you lead me to it
knowing
that I don’t have the route
I cannot plan for the summer days
in which you have no part
not matter that the tears of winter
lay frozen on my face
and sad it seems
that you are the sun
then
fate has a will
for without my summer
I will live
in winter still
