We are making waves
digging our own graves
from Africa to Australia
from Russia to the States
from Europe to Asia
everybody the same
and everyone to blame.
From industrial profanity
comes the heatwaves of humanity.
Under suicidal attack
green zones are turning black
creating a world oxygen free
by cutting of almost every tree.
The world is on it"s knees
as the polar caps unfreeze.
The wall we must get over
is a human made boulder,
all of us,
the rich and the greedy,
the poor and the needy.
What will we do with money
when the bees stop producing honey,
when the world goes into toxic shock
you won"t be saved by money or stock.
Markets would just disappear
like mountains in a sea of fear.
There will be superstorms all over
from New Orleans to Dover.
The omens of our demise
as the temperatures rise
and no one hears the warning bell
as earth becomes as hot as hell.
There 's Captains of industry we are accusing
of running factories carbon producing.
So why can"t we ban it,
tell us masters of our planet.
As disaster struck Al Gore
the green ship ran ashore
and we finally knew the score
as Bush took us to war.
Our stupidity would have been hilarious
if our situation was not so precarious
and the beauty of our life
was not balanced on the edge of a knife.
