At the end of the day
I turn my face toward the sky
I see
dark thundering clouds,
hanging
held by firmly spun sprindrels from the moon
beams of light escape through hair-line cracks
As they sneak through
they strike down with loud voices
and blinding brightness
echoeing through the empty heaven below.
and yet
the moon remains unchanged
gliding through the clouds - like a Queen..
as she dominates the starlit sky
Stars shine brighter than diamonds
as they turn to bow
when she smakes her silent descent
where she’ll rest
while the fiery, radiant sun peers over mountain tops
stretching it’s beam to warm the earth
soaking up the traces left by the moon
and another day begins.
