the path behind me was bumpy indeed,
ravaged and worn, just like my soul - in need.
dark and mysterious, path of no foe and brother.
trodden well, yet travelled by no other.
winding resolutely through a forgotten forest of lies;
through poisonous thornbushes and forsaken cries.
many a time i screamed out at the dense blackened night,
weakened and bruised, resolve to fight a slackened plight:
"oh enchanted forest, what do you conceal?
illusions of safety of your nightmares revealed?
how will i survive you, how will i be free?
how will i find my path back while you've got a deadly spell on me?
so i wandered deeper into the forest, leaving hope behind;
forced to keep going, regardless of the truths i'd find...
