Down the hill we leisurely walk:
youthly our steps, shyly our talk
on subjects of matter we know little then
and some things we knew like Old London’s Big Ben.
That’s years gone by, yesterdays far…
Farther than the wondering stars
roaming at night when we’re all down to lay,
cuddled by the Shepherd of all us astray…
Now I ’m alone! No one to talk!
Just when I can’t leisurely walk
because I am without the half of myself
who turned into death…into eternity self!
