On this journey called Life
I have always followed
My dapper heart’s pursuit
Foolish choices thus far
Determined my destiny
Along the way smiles faded
Passion was brutally slain
Eyes forgot to shine
Heart failed to feel
Fragile smidgens of being remained
I have cuddled with the cold
Nattered with ghouls of grief
A heart timidly inhabited
Drowning in lonely despair
A life buried in anguish
Now I have to speak
Cast out foolish thoughts
Hear the future whispering
Trample bravely on fear
Seek beauty in the sunrise
The time has finally come to
Embrace my future fearlessly
Set my quivering spirit free
Love with wild abandonment
Awaken my beautiful soul
