A fleeting fantasy...
A figment of my imagination...
A delusion of lust....
I dare say no......
You are so much more.
You opened my eyes to the world
And unknowingly catapulted
My thoughts out of the
Terrible desert of loneliness
Which consumed my being
And miserably corrupted my mind
You rescued my soul from emptiness
Straight into the light
Changing the contours of my heart
Bathing me in a glow of hope
Swathed in a halo of sheer bliss
Perhaps someday the radiance
Shimmering from my spirit
Will open your eyes
And unlock your mind
To give you a glimpse
Of a future hesitantly waiting
Lurking in the shadows of doubt
But eagerly anticipating
A bold new world
Ready to give birth to a grand design
Where perhaps we are meant to be
To complete one another
And love with passion
Surpassing all rationality
Two souls joined in the heavens
There is inexplicable comfort
In your soothing presence
