Those of you who taught me
men cannot be trusted –
you were wrong.
Those of you who taught me

Those of you who taught me
that love is blind –
it is so true.
Those of you who taught me
it is not blind –
shame on you!
Those of you who taught me
to kiss and cuddle –
you were great.
Those of you who tried to
take advantage –
thát sealed your fate.
To all the boys who
brought me sorrow –
thank you for the lesson.
To all the boys who
brought me joy –
thank you for that blessin.
To all the boys I’ve loved before -
You taught me many things for sure.
You filled my life with many things,
prepared me for what life may bring.
BUT
To the one who loves me true -
I shall always treasure you.
To the one who forgave my faults -
again I give my heart to you.
The one who taught me
the joy of unconditional love -
you’re worth more than
all of those above.
You taught me who I am,
You taught me what I want,
how to trust,
how to heal.
You taught me that
my heart is not dead.
