sticky hands grabbing little white cups
a forest protecting our innocent faces
a symphony behind the leafy wall
gracing our afternoon with delightful tune
you dug your cold toes into my hands
and put your scarf around my knees
we sang along to bubbly verses
and giggled till we cried
sweet juices and salty cheese
the chilly breeze that tangled our hair
sepia memories of this day
carefully stored not too far away
we unknowingly cherished last moments,
leaving before the final song.
