The ocean takes me to a place of peace,
I am content, I have no worries, and I am at ease.
What I would give to live near the ocean and bask in the sun
Swim at every sunrise and mesmerize every sunset!
I want to run on the sand, dive in the waves and have no regrets.
I want to be a part of the ocean
As the ocean is a part of me!
The Beach
At dawn, barefooted,
Looking as far as the eye can reach,
The water’s edge advances and recedes along the beach.
Before me I see
A carpet of half-buried shells of sea creatures
Tide-washed in sodden sand with rippled features.
Struisbaai
Friend I will show you my paradise,
And share the secret rooted inside my heart
A place I love with all my soul
My beloved Struisbaai…
