When I look in the mirror, I see the same eyes,
But I see an outside that is a disguise.
Still I cannot fight what other eyes see,
What I’ve always been is still inside of me.
I can’t speak words like I did before,
But I still think the same, maybe now even more.
This disease has invaded my every fibre,
And I don’t have the strength to unleash my ire.
I need you friend though I cannot ask,
For this illness is such a challenging task.
I hope you’ll all remember me the way that I was,
When I lived life like everyone does.
