and in the quiet hours
when we cry
the journey seems too hard to take
and we see the climb
as unreachably high
a single step is all it takes
allowing you to grow
but as we hit on same broken shell
our toe
that which we promised we would shun
then the quiet hours when we cry
we cradle and rock our souls that bleed
give into the temptation
to yawn and sigh
and then
just not
to breathe again …
