memories haunt the waking…
Pupils in denial brave the current,
tears in hearts dilute the sun…
Oh finest, precarious balance,
burnt with such veracity,
Oh dearest, untouchable light,
your legacy is infinite...
Anger burns the accepting,
loss numbs the living…
Souls scorn the reality,
truth drains the strength…
Oh tender, brilliant star,
shone light on shadows,
Oh eager, hungry flame,
kept the cold away…
Hollow hours bring no reprieve,
