For fallen friends, along the way
In my heart, you’ll always stay
Happy thoughts, is what I think of you
And discard the times, when we feel blue
This is not for friends, who passed today
But for those who chose, to stay away
For years and time, we’ve had to share
That’s empty now that you’re not there
What made us part, we do not tell
Although we say, “go to hell”
And what we had, you can’t erase
Because in your mind, there stays a trace
Of what we shared, that got us through
Many a battle, just me and you
Of close kept secrets, I do not hawk
I hope the same, when of me you talk
As time goes by, our memories fade
Of all the good, when we had it made
Now I look at you, with a saddened heart
Was our friendship worth it, when we had to part?
Time will heal, that’s what they say
But for now my friend, it can’t go away
I hate for what, we both had done
My question stands, who had won?
