It scares me that, so easily,
life falls into monotony
relationship life expectancy
suffer from predictability
BUT
my greatest fear in life would be -
the fear of MEDIOCRITY
Even if I don’t agree
life becomes a rut you see
and instead of someone breaking free
we keep on leaving this legacy
AND
days become years of frantically
postponing life indefinitely
Humour, joy and creativity
learning and growing intellectually
grabbing every opportunity
to experience the rush physically
MORE
to feel love and even hurt, emotionally
that’s what I pursue, relentlessly
The shocking truth that she told me
the day she died, old and lonely
is that she never lived fully,
life passed her by unexpectedly
SO
When they read my eulogy
what will they have to say about me?
will they say she lived abundantly,
or she suffered from MEDIOCRITY?
