What is death to you my mortal?
To me… us, it’s a joke, a giggle, a mere laugh.
Ah! Pathetic the tears, the sorrows, the wasted not wanted;
Time;
Dreams;
Hope;
Love…
Could have used the time; better, more wisely.
To journey to seek that witch has not been found.
A glance over ones shoulder;
Ah! The past…
How sad is the past to see what was lost.
And time, moments, words, a mere touch;
That was not cherished.
Perhaps a tear for a loved one, a broken one, a dying one.
Maybe, just a thought…
Nay! Lets conquer, brake, burn and destroy.
So much more fun, wouldn’t you say?
Yet;
What is life to my mortal without the one;
Whom holds him at night;
Kisses his lips;
Wipes his tears;
Shares his laughter and holds his hand;
Steals a glance and smiles when caught.
Lost moments, forgotten dreams;
Empty words and no healing.
Echoing words of love and endearment.
The thought, those voices... No! one voice. One!
Pain and tears, those empty eyes, a cold touch and no feelings.
Why in life, the punishment of love?
Still heart! Death to thee!
Why this punishment for a creature like me…
Cold, undead, always seeking and never finding.
Perhaps it’s the haunting dreams of one to love and to hold.
Or are these memories of once was…
So true, yet forbidden.
Hope;
Prayer;
Eternally seeking.
A glimpse, a taste of a new true love, the feeling the warmth…
Lost and forbidden yet once again.
Maybe; that is life my mortal!
The one whom is still alive and by your side.
Warm to the touch with a beating heart.
One who will fight and defend, like a fearless warrior.
Yet gentle and serene, fragile as a butterfly’s wing;
Whose anger can be subdued with only your gentle touch.
Whom would kneel and submit to your ruling hand.
Now that is life! The moment!
The love to live for!
Ah, my beloved mortal… how I envy you.
My time has passed, but yours;
Your time is here!
Grab hold!
Stand proud!
Breathe the essence of life!
For that one, that life is always by your side!
