White Red and Black
Green Yellow and Blue
Flying close to our hearts
After we have repented from a fight against you
Some nations have trembled, others had their teeth gnashing
When a slave became a king, raised from the dead
preachers had to stand around and cited each and every verse
few could distinguish between the wheat and the chaff, the tail and the head
they didn’t know if there was a curse
everyone has lost treasures unasked for, some willingly donated something
bread was tossed upon the water with the hope on what the passage of time will bring
all had their stock counted all fully fed
there was blood on people’s hands and hearts full of regret
the clouds have brought darkness
with a promise of a hidden blessing
many people had fled from country some were thoughtless
others afraid that everything was just a smoke screen to cover all the confusion
A storm was to come, winds around the country's edges roared
The rain flood opened a path
Two rivers formed and joined along the ocean
A new nation has entered the birth canal without a pain relieving potion
The clouds contracted the emergency act of labour
The thunder tore the soul in half
A mighty sky ball thrusted water upon every compatriot
A nations mask was flushed away
Naked and wet she laid
Her birth-cry was heard worldwide through the news
God instructed the angels to weave a multicoloured robe
And to float above the southern globe
A diamond was attached to the rainbow coat and the land’s nakedness was covered
He breathed upon the newly born heart and with love she was smothered
Place was made for every culture
Every individual became equal and the hero of his own origin
A proud possessor of a priceless beauty
All thankful for the outcome
The child grew and progressed at his best
While the country wrestled through its growing pain
The bread returned it’s dividends
No one had any more blood on their hands and there was no more selfish gain
The rainbow-child and nation’s breast filled up the space
She wore her multicoloured dress with grace
Whilst she took part in the “World-ball”
And nothing will make her fall
Reconciliation flapping through her heart
She dances through the brilliant blue “ a brand new start!”
