You haunt me in my dreams…
waking the house with my unworldly screams –
Wherever I go – it is your face I see…
there you will forever, cursed be!
Your body & face etched into the crevices of my mind –
peace and love; will I ever find?
I hide behind a world of sting –
But laughter is what he now daily brings.
The longing in my heart a mere faint echo –
making me feel like an upside-down gecko!
His pain and doubt turns my world to dust –
How can I possibly gain his trust?
The soft flutter of his butterfly-kisses –
unleashes in my heart unknown passionate wishes…
A rocky and winding road it seems –
at the end of the tunnel, shiny yellow beams?
We sometimes feel worlds apart –
How can I learn the language of his heart?
He makes my island rock & sway –
How can I make him want to stay?
He is the rhythm to my rhyme,
He is my melody so divine.
He is the harmony of my heart’s song –
The question is where does He and I belong?
