How did you brake through the barriers of my heart
You aimed and shot straight with your cupid’s dart
Your touch, so gentle, soft, makes me feel surreal
Make me to believe this is really not only a dream
The battle to fall asleep, erase you from my mind
Will the demons come again and rob me blind
You lay beside me, peaceful, staring into my eyes
Willpower fails me, I want you, don’t tell me lies
I touch your lips, you respond to my finger tips
Softly kissing you, breathing you, my heart flips
Your arms around me, holding on real tight
Our souls telling us never to give up this fight
We must and shall take all this, one day at a time
I do realise that you might never be mine
Still, I will always treasure our times together
