I wrote this poem knowing
That my words would never fade
I hurt someone I love
And my words were like a blade
I try so much to please you
I never get it right
Even as I try and try
With all my might
Mom you know I love you
But you just don’t understand
Going through my mind
Are a million thoughts like sand?
Memories the future
It all just seems a blur
At the school all day
It’s ‘Yes Mom’ ‘Yes Sir’
Everybody tries to change me
Why can’t I just be?
Today it’s all anger
Maybe tomorrow I’; see
You’re only trying to help me
Please except my apology
It’s sincere and true
I’ll always love you mom
In my heart you’re number one
