I do not understand
My heart actually pains
I can physically feel the pain
I am surrounded by people
Loved ones ...
Yet so very alone
I might as well be on an island
My very existence, a joke
My dreams seem so distant
My nightmares, so close
Every day, an effort
I yearn for release from this circle of doom
Once, ... I lived
I had a life
It had meaning
It had purpose
I had reason
I was this same person
Yet so very different
I have an outer smile
Where I had an inner glow
I had direction
While now, I merely wander
My dreams gave me hope
Now they devastate my reality
My heart pumped life
Now it produces pain
My mind was jolly

Is there anyone out there

To restore my name
