out of the darkness
my soul took flight
at first my eyes
bewildered at this sight
of which my heart
unaccustomed, desire
to bask in the glow
of this raven's fire
unlock the free spirit
from within
allow my journey
to healing touch begin
the wrath, I have no defense,
bleed me out, the cleansing commence
my darkness and torture lies defeatedly struck
gutted, penetrated by the sword of this lady luck
beautiful this raven with sword and saber
unrelentingly conquer the demons, no waver
out of the darkness this healer brings light
leaves the calluses behind, bury them at gravesite
renounce the pain, abandon the wounds
surrender the aching heart, leave the ruins
exposing my mortality disarmed by her mercy
now in after light it poignant with lunacy

for fear that she would uncover the truth there
bewitched by the beauty, empowered yet the same
when lavishly in majestic flight she takes my name
raven, take flight my beauty, be free
spread your black wings and lift me
draw your sword in defense of my quests
sever all that defeats me and infests
