Strange, to think how time flies;
Wondering, how many days in my life lies;
Yet, the moments relentlessly speed by....
Contemplating......what, if I die?
Life has been a journey, a roller coaster ride,
Uphill, downhill, not a single emotion denied;
Having been through every facet and phase –
Grateful that I survived every dangerous stage,
I have not given this topic any thought;
Terrified for some time, completely distraught!
Knowing there is no other way out;
It will happen, of this, there is no doubt!
This is one path where there is no other choice;
I`m in anguish and fear of this cynical voice
Telling me softly, driving me round the bend;
Reminding me constantly, someday, this will end.
Granted, it`s the truth, a fact, so nauseating;
Nobody can escape...seventy something in waking.
If I had the courage, the heart and the faith.....
Death, in these days, would be a safe place.
