Here, today we stand again
3 years later, and still our love remain
Now together each other we embrace
as in our hearts memories we now trace:
The day we stood in front of God
in the back round our families applaud
When we made the promise of saying: “I do”
our hearts with adoration for each other grew
The rings we gave each other
was a symbol of our promise to one another
Like a ring is round and has no end:
so our lives filled with love we will spend
When the preacher pronounced us husband and wife
was the moment we waited for all our life
Then came the moment to kiss your bride
oh how our hearts filled with pride
As we walked down the aisle hand in hand
on each our finger, the sparkle of our new wedding band
Together we walked into our new joined life as one
the hearts of another we have won
With joyful streamers we were met
to celebrate the wows that were just yet set
Our family and friends to wish us well
as they have just experienced such a clear wedding bell
Oh how the day was filled with so much joy
this, nothing possibly could on that day destroy
Next to each other we closed our eyes that night
and nothing ever felt so entirely right
Our lives went on day by day
and not every day was perfect to our dismay
Troubles and heartache soon worked its way in
forgotten the feelings we had in the begin
Unfortunately mistakes were made
and no longer were our thanksgiving for each other prayed
But with the grace of God we have learn to over come
to forgive and be the couple God wanted us to become
So today here we are together still
learning each day the needs of the other to fulfill
Our bond is stronger than ever
as to the other one’s longings we endeavor
Our prayer is for it to become even stronger
for this unity to continue even longer
So this is my poem I unto you bestow
As I cherish the joyful day, 3 years ago
