It was like two comets in the night sky
Coming from two different worlds
Destined to meet only briefly
As they got closer to each other
The powerful attraction slowed them down
Everything in the Universe held its breath...
Paused, suspended, as time stood still
Their energies connected, without physically touching
Heartbeats slowed down to almost nothing
Eyes that stare deep into the other's soul
Seeing, knowing, that one is only part of the whole
Then, like an explosion blasting outward
Seperating the whole, the silence
Sending the parts in different directions
Two lives, moving in opposite paths
The tears have dried up
The pain has subsided
But the question remains
