‘There they sit on their thrones far away
forever forgotten and without a say.
Living in a world of their own,
what their war is about will never be known.
They only exist, they only endure,
for once their souls were whole and pure.
Survival is all they live for everyday
To get sex or a cigarette or a cigarette for sex.
How can you judge an animal who lost his faith in the next?
If you ask them they will tell,
of the fires burning of their living hell.
Forever falling and taken aback by gravity.
They’ll do whatever it takes to proof their sanity.
To fake the real to those outside the gates.
It makes them masters, almost geniuses of fakes.
They are most of the time out of sight,
isolation are the curse for having no light.
Their shouting and screaming are not to be seen,
it is the turmoil inside them that makes them unclean.
They are the castaways who can never have a home,
for then they are a danger to their own.
When you meet them they’ll show no shame, no fear,
They are somewhat forward and their intensions unclear.
If you look past the monster you’ll find,
a scarred soul and sometimes a clear mind.
Somehow a free spirit floating that can never be bind.
Is this what you become when reality blows your mind?
An existence not to be proud of but,
bugger the pride if there is nowhere to hide.
It’s a way of life so close to us, but yet so far apart.
As to what went wrong…
maybe it will be written down in a song.’
