I didn't think that he was capable of doing that
I didn't really believe that he was able to say that
I didn't ever think that it was possible for me to feel that
and I never ever thought that it could possibly be made undone
Time is a healer - that's what they say
and then I waited - wondering which day
the hands of time would become a pill or a plaster
or a pain.killing.needle - it never happened - desaster!
and I was devastated
to say the least
and I was left broken bleeding oozing pain
it wasn't long before I became insane
and my cries were not heard because my mouth was shut
and my mind left the country and stayed in a hut
safety zone - insanity
I was but a little girl
The Healer came but He was different than I thought
It wasn't the kind of healer I had my life long sought
He was gentle and loving and listened and cared
He let me know that it's over - even if I was still scared
and scarred
and bruised
and abused
My mind's plain ticket was paid
He came back - I prayed
and was saved
by the Only One
who ever paid in full
