There are little twinkling fairy stars
Which human words cannot contain
They dance around within your eyes
And entice me ...
So subtly into your deep heart’s charm
I lose myself among them
They don’t ever keep still
I never want to trample them
I love you so ...
I would not want a single tear
To stain your flawless face
The little twinkling fairy stars
Are tickling me so gently
The corners of my mourning heart
Can scarce resist their prancing
I smile ...
You see my eyes and smile right back at me
I decide to make a step ahead
And take the plunge, carefree
Those little twinkling fairy stars
Have brought new flight to my broken wings
I dive ...
I fall ...
But not in vain – you catch me just in time
There are little twinkling fairy stars
Which I can now explain –
They bring new life, they rejuvenate
And now I can rejoice
In you, my little baby girl
With your twinkling, prancing eyes
You lighten up my whole existence
In which I had no hope
But now ...
I sing a different song
And the little twinkling fairy stars –
They live to see me smile!
