I live in seclusion -
silence is my native tong,
darkness my closest friend.
I look around;
amongst many
yet alone;
part of die cloud of people -
the sea of familiar faces
yet not part of them,
not one with them:
I don't think like them,
I don't do the things they do,
I don't follow them;
yet like mist
I move among them,
listen to their voices,
see their deeds,
feel their touch
and then I depart.
I was never like them,
never will be;
for I am a loner;
always will be.
