In a dry and barren land
There is a definite and specific demand
For a pure people to speak and declare
And to boldly lift up accurate prayers
In a land defiled with corruption
There should also be an eruption
Of the Kingdom of God to advance
As His People take their rightful stance
In a land of intense desperation
With economic and spiritual inflation
We all need God’s intervention
As we seek His divine intention
In a land with orphans, too many
And cries from widows without a penny
The wisdom of God needs to prevail
… The Church cannot afford to fail
In a land filled with single mothers
And such a need for responsible fathers
We need the Sun of Righteousness to arise
And for people their sinfulness to realize
In a land where Aids is taking it’s toll
We need to pray for each desperate soul
As we spread God’s love with compassion and force
And constantly refer people to the Only Source
In a land so desolate and barren
Because of spiritual and emotional famine
We need an Elijah to utter a cry
James 5:18 to powerfully apply
In a land that has come out of tribal clashes
Who brutally felt the enemy’s lashes
Needs the Body of Christ with healing hands
As we work to bring deliverance to the lands
Oh Kenya, beautiful country with animals and trees
God is somehow bringing you to your knees
So repent and turn from your wicked ways
And let’s all serve Him … all of our days
