she does not think
or dream

star at night tugs at her
heart as she downs her
first Tequila…
before a star can take hold
of her thoughts,
she downs another
Mary does not lie awake
in the arms of her lover…
She makes love and
falls asleep, unaware of the
sad moon’s vigil over
her figure which is hugged
by the constraints of her existence..
She eats life
Life eats at her…
it takes its fill until
